The Lord's Supper
(Served every Sunday)
|
Holy Communion is celebrated in, with and under the bread and wine Jesus gives us his body and blood for the forgiveness of sins and to strengthen our union with Him and one another.
Our Lord invites to His table those who repent of all sins, trust in Christ the Savior, believe in the real presence of His body and blood in, with and under the bread and wine, and forgives others as He loves and forgives us.
Those who do not know or accept the teachings of the Lutheran Church are invited to speak with the Pastor about joining the next adult instruction class so that they may become one with us in doctrine and receive the Sacrament for their blessing.

"Jesus' Truth & Injustice" | Sermon Scripture: John 18:28-40 | "Then the Jewish leaders took Jesus from Caiaphas to the palace of the Roman governor. By now it was early morning, and to avoid ceremonial uncleanness they did not enter the palace, because they wanted to be able to eat the Passover. So Pilate came out to them and asked, “What charges are you bringing against this man?” | Introit, Collect and Scripture Readings for the Service |
Cry out, “Save us, God our Savior; gather us and deliver us from the nations, that we may give thanks to your holy name, and glory in your praise.”

Sunday School and Adult Bible Class |
We will be continuing our study in the course of Lutheranism 101. We would love to have you study with us! Below is a snapshot of what the study is about:

What makes the Lutheran confession of faith unique? Why is Lutheran worship different from worship at the church next door? Does it have to be confusing? Whether you’re a lifelong Lutheran looking to dig deeper, new to Lutheranism and want answers, or just curious about the Lutheran Church, the Lutheranism 101 series is great for you! It will help you easily get to know theology basics in a way that won’t make your brain hurt. | |
Sometimes it is good to reminisce about the Thanksgiving holidays of the past. I remember school letting out a half day on Wednesday and my grandparents picking us up and taking us to their house. It was usually chilly weather, and it was prior to them having central heat and air. I would awake in the morning and see my breath in the air. I had already watched my grandmother in the kitchen doing her prep-cook items. She would arise while it was still dark and begin the process of making our Thanksgiving dinner. The Advent Wreath & Candles - Meaning, Symbolism and History
| Advent is a time of expectation and hope filled with rich traditions. “Advent” means “arrival” or “coming,” and it prompts us to pause each day in December and remember why Jesus came at Christmas. Traditions vary by country, but common ways of commemorating Jesus’ birth are through Advent calendars, wreaths, and candles. Ideally, any Advent tradition should involve families in a fun activity each day of December, helping them remember why we celebrate Christmas. The advent wreath and candles provide beautiful symbolism for each week of advent as we wait for Christmas to arrive. | |
