Chicago's children are the answer

When people ask, “What about Chicago?”

We answer: Look at our children.

The crisp air and the excited chatter of children signal the start of a new school year, a time of fresh beginnings and boundless potential. Here at Holy Family, we see hope, strength, and potential through the incredible spirit growing right here within our city. Every day our students are learning, thriving, and building brighter futures through the combination of education, determination, and faith.

Too often, Chicago is defined by mass media: headlines of violence, statistics on poverty, and narratives of failing schools. These narratives perpetuate a cycle of hopelessness that overshadows the vibrant reality of our community and its families.

That is not the Chicago we know.

Driven by a love of God and neighbor, we ask a different set of questions: "What about Chicago's children, our emerging leaders?" What about the bright minds carrying hopes bigger than their backpacks, minds that are often impeded by barriers beyond their control?

We don't see statistics; we see Chicago's children. We believe in their limitless potential, and we know they are the future.
