Continuing on our Lent Journey

As we continue our Lent journey on this day, March 20, we find ourselves in the heart of this sacred season—a time given to us by the Church to return more fully to the Lord.

Lent invites us to slow down, to examine our hearts, and to make room for God in a deeper way. Through prayer, fasting, and almsgiving, we are not simply “giving things up,” but opening ourselves to be transformed. These small, intentional sacrifices help us detach from what distracts us and reattach to what truly gives life, our relationship with Christ.

We are also reminded that Lent is not meant to be a burden, but a gift. It is a season of grace, where God meets us right where we are with mercy, patience, and love. No matter how our Lent journey has been going so far, today is another opportunity to begin again.

As we draw closer to Holy Week, let us ask the Lord for the courage to keep going, the humility to seek His mercy, and the openness to be changed. Trust that He is at work, even in the quiet and hidden places of your heart.

May this Lenten day be one of renewed purpose, deeper prayer, and a growing awareness of God’s presence in your life.

Mass at 6:00 p.m.

Bi-Lingual Stations of the Cross at 7:00 p.m.

TONIGHT (3/20)!

What a beautiful way to walk with our Lord!

This week, the Church gave us the joy of celebrating two great saints: Saint Patrick and Saint Joseph.

From St. Patrick, we are reminded of the courage to boldly share our faith and trust in God’s providence, even in unfamiliar places.

From St. Joseph, we are given a model of quiet strength, humility, and faithful obedience—serving God not with many words, but with a steadfast and generous heart.

As we continue our Lenten journey, may we carry their examples with us: to live our faith with both conviction and humility, and to trust that God is at work in both the extraordinary and the ordinary moments of our lives.

"Beast" shredder event is returning tomorrow, Sat. March 21st to our Church parking lot. The event is hosted by the Knights of Columbus and will run from 9:00 until noon. Suggested donations are $5.00 per paper grocery bag, $10.00 per box and checks may be made payable to the Knights. Paper only please. No metal of any kind will be accepted (ring binders, spiral bound, binder clips, etc.) except paper clips and staples. Come and watch the "Beast" eat!

CALLING ALL PARISHIONERS

Help spruce up our church grounds for spring! THIS Saturday, March 21 at 9:00 a.m., volunteers are needed to spread 120 yards of mulch around the parish property. Come for a few hours in the morning or early afternoon — any help is appreciated!

Please bring wheelbarrows, rakes, pitchforks, pails, and gloves (wheelbarrows and pitchforks are especially helpful) and label your equipment. Kindly park away from the mulch piles so volunteers have easy access.

Snacks and drinks will be provided.

This parish-wide effort is coordinated by the Saint Francis Club.

EASTER FLOWERS

Honor or remember a loved one this Easter with a donation toward the flowers that will beautifully adorn our sanctuary. Names of those honored (living or deceased) will be listed in the Easter bulletin.

Please use the envelope in your offertory packet and place it in the regular collection basket by THIS Sunday, March 22. Be sure to include the names of those you wish to honor and indicate whether they are living or deceased.

Thank you for helping our church bloom with beauty as we celebrate the joy of Easter!
