This Sunday we celebrate the feast of Pentecost

On this beautiful feast of Pentecost, we are reminded that the Holy Spirit did not come only for the apostles long ago. He comes for us today. In moments of fear, uncertainty, or weariness, God breathes His Spirit into our hearts and fills us with courage, peace, wisdom, and renewed faith. Pentecost invites us to open the doors of our hearts and allow the fire of the Holy Spirit to transform us, so that we may live boldly as witnesses of Christ’s love in the world.

Prayer:

Come, Holy Spirit, fill our hearts with Your grace and set our souls ablaze with the fire of Your love. Guide us in truth, strengthen us in faith, and help us to be joyful witnesses of Christ each day. Amen.

Reverend James K. Solari

It is with deep sadness that we share the passing of Rev. James K. Solari. Some of our Holy Family parishioners may remember Fr. Solari, who served as the first pastor of Holy Family Catholic Church from 1977–1978, his very first parish assignment.

The Reception of the Body, Vigil Service, and Viewing will take place at the Basilica at Belmont Abbey on Monday, May 25, at 7:30 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, May 26, at 10:30 a.m., with interment following in the abbey cemetery.

Please keep Fr. Solari and all who mourn his passing in your prayers.

Honoring Our Veterans Memorial Day, May 25

As Memorial Day approaches, we invite our parish family to join us in a heartfelt tribute to the brave men and women who have faithfully served our country. In conjunction with Taps Across America, Holy Family will honor our veterans laid to rest in our cemetery and columbarium with a special Remembrance Ceremony on Monday, May 25.

All parishioners are warmly invited to gather with us beginning at 2:15 PM as Deacon John leads us in prayer. Following the prayer service, the American Heritage Girls and American Legion Post 522 will assist in placing military flags in honor of our veterans. At 3:00 PM, Clare Waranowitz will play Taps in a tribute of remembrance and gratitude.

If you have a loved one who served in the military and would like their name included in our remembrance, even if they are not laid to rest in our cemetery or columbarium, please contact Jerry Bryant at gerald@holyfamilyclemmons.com.

Come join us as we remember, honor, and pray for those who gave so much in service to our nation. May we never forget their sacrifice and may God bless all our veterans and their families.

Parish Offices will be CLOSED Monday, Memorial Day (5/25) in observance of the Memorial Day.
