Parish Newsletter

April 24, 2026

Holy Family Catholic Church

The Holy Family Parish Newsletter is here to help keep you informed about many of the wonderful activities happening within our parish. We are a vibrant and active community, and we are super busy these days!! Come join us at some of our fun and exciting events!

To view our parish website, simply click the “Visit Our Website” link below! Changes are being made weekly to our website!

Good Shepherd Sunday reminds us of the deep and personal love of Jesus Christ, who calls Himself our Good Shepherd. He knows each of us by name, seeks us when we are lost, and gently leads us with compassion and care.

In the midst of life’s noise and uncertainty, we are invited to listen for His voice—steady, loving, and full of peace. This Sunday also calls us to reflect on vocation and the many ways God invites each of us to follow Him and serve others.

May we find comfort in this truth: we are never alone. The Good Shepherd walks with us, guiding us always.

“The Lord is my shepherd; there is nothing I shall want.” (Psalm 23)

The Eucharistic Congress Bake Sale

It's here!! Something sweet is here this weekend!!!!

It is NOT too late to drop off your goodies (please label your treats!) and put them on the tables ready in the concourse.

Join us after Mass on Saturday and Sunday (April 25–26) to pick up something sweet for yourself, family, and friends! Every purchase supports our journey to the Eucharistic Congress—and we couldn’t be more excited.

Be part of this special mission—through your baking, your support, and your presence. We can’t wait to share this joyful journey with YOU!

THIS WEEKEND IS THE PARISH PICNIC!!!!

Parish Picnic – THIS Sunday, April 26th @ 5 PM – 7:30 PM

Our Parish Picnic is finally here (THIS Sunday, April 26th)! Come relax and enjoy being together with food, games, and music from 5 PM – 7:30 PM in the picnic shelter.

The parish is providing the hamburgers, hot dogs, buns, and condiments so it's incredibly helpful to please R.S.V.P. at the link below (but not necessary). If you don’t know yet, it’s still okay. Please just come anyway.

We intentionally picked a Sunday evening while Youth Ministry was still in session so please bring those middle/high school students and get some dinner before heading inside for Edge and/or LifeTeen!

Be the Welcome That Makes a Difference!

Do you have a friendly smile and a heart to serve? Step into something meaningful by joining our Usher/Hospitality Ministry! Ushers are often the very first impression of our parish offering a warm welcome, helping others feel at home, and assisting during Mass in simple but important ways.

It’s a beautiful, easy way to grow in service, meet fellow parishioners, and be part of what makes Holy Family so special.

No experience needed, training is provided!

Come be a welcoming presence and help others encounter Christ from the moment they walk through the doors.

MOTHER’S DAY NOVENA

Beautiful Mother’s Day Novena cards are now available in the Church Concourse—a meaningful way to honor the women who have shaped your life with love and faith.

Remember your mother, grandmother, or a cherished loved one—living or deceased—by enrolling them in our Novena Masses throughout the month of May. Simply fill out the envelope and include your donation; their names will be lovingly placed on the altar and lifted up in prayer.

Share the gift of prayer by sending a card to someone special, letting them know they are being remembered in a beautiful and powerful way. Celebrate, honor, and entrust your loved ones to God’s care this Mother’s Day.

Overnight Adoration

Thursday May 14th

May 14th 9:30 AM – May 15th 8:30 AM

Since the kneelers for the new seminarians will be at our parish, we’ll host overnight Adoration on May 14th into May 15th to give everyone more time to use the kneelers in prayer. This is in addition to the regularly scheduled Thursday Adoration that day so all are welcome to spend time with our Lord at ANY HOUR OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. See you there!

Bowl to Strike

Out Cancer

Get ready for an afternoon of fun, laughter, and making a difference!

All students in 1st grade through high school are warmly invited to join us on Sunday, May 17 at 1:00 p.m. at Northside Lanes in Winston-Salem for our annual Bowl to Strike Out Cancer!

Each participant will enjoy two free games, shoe rental, and lunch—all while supporting an incredible cause. Gather a few sponsors (we suggest three, with a $20 minimum each), and help us make a real impact. Every dollar raised benefits the Wake Forest Comprehensive Cancer Center.

And there’s a fun bonus—the top fundraiser will win a FREE bowling ball!

Adults are invited to join the fun too—just $5 per game. Sponsor envelopes are available through the Religious Education Office.

Come roll with us, raise hope,
