The Ascension of Our Lord

As we celebrate the glorious Ascension of Our Lord, we are reminded that although Jesus ascended into Heaven, He has never left us. He remains with us always guiding us through His Word, strengthening us through the Sacraments, and drawing us ever closer to the promise of eternal life.

The Ascension is not a farewell, but a mission. Christ sends His disciples—and each one of us—into the world to be witnesses of His love, mercy, and truth. In moments of uncertainty, we lift our eyes to Heaven with hope, knowing that our Savior reigns in glory and intercedes for us before the Father.

May this holy feast renew our hearts with courage, joy, and trust in God’s plan. Let us continue to walk faithfully with Christ, sharing His light with all those we encounter.

Prayer

Heavenly Father, as we celebrate the Ascension of Your Son, fill our hearts with hope and gratitude. Help us to keep our eyes fixed on Heaven while faithfully serving You here on earth. Strengthen us to be joyful witnesses of the Gospel and remind us that Jesus is always with us. May the promise of eternal life inspire us to live with deeper faith, love, and peace each day. Through Christ our Lord. Amen.

Lost & Found Weekend

 May 16th & 17th!

Have you been missing a sweater, water bottle, glasses, umbrella, Bible, or perhaps something more mysterious? This weekend is your chance to reconnect with those long-lost treasures!

We will have a Lost & Found table set up in the church concourse area with all items collected over the past year. We invite everyone to stop by and take a look your missing item may be waiting for you!

Any unclaimed items will be lovingly donated to local charities following the weekend.

Thank you for helping us clear out our Lost & Found and, hopefully, reunite you with your belongings!

History of the Catholic Church – The Protestant Reformation & the Catholic Church’s Response

Back by popular demand! Dr. Bill Partin—a retired history professor and parishioner at St. Leo—visited Holy Family last year and guided us through a fast-paced exploration of the Catholic Church’s 2,000-year history. This time Dr. Partin returns to examine more closely one of the Church’s most transformative moments: The Protestant Reformation and the Catholic Church’s response.

This is a FREE program presented in two separate parts on two consecutive Tuesdays: May 19th & May 26th, from 7 PM to 8:15 PM (Family Center). Please don’t exclude yourself if you can only make one week. Come and learn what you can anyway!
