Philippians 4:11–23 (KJV 1900)
11Not that I speak in respect of want: for I have learned, in whatsoever state I am, therewith to be content.
12I know both how to be abased, and I know how to abound: every where and in all things I am instructed both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.
13I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me.
14Notwithstanding ye have well done, that ye did communicate with my affliction.
15Now ye Philippians know also, that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church communicated with me as concerning giving and receiving, but ye only.
16For even in Thessalonica ye sent once and again unto my necessity.
17Not because I desire a gift: but I desire fruit that may abound to your account.
18But I have all, and abound: I am full, having received of Epaphroditus the things which were sent
from you, an odour of a sweet smell, a sacrifice acceptable, wellpleasing to God.
19But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

ONCE AGAIN, I was AWAKENED this morning, (PRAISE THE LORD FOR AWAKENENING AGAIN)-NOT by little Amanda, (who is THANK GOD sleeping peacefully!!!!!!), but by my PROSTATE gland-I am, THANKFULLY an OLD MAN!!!!!!
The time is presently 5:30 AM-AGAIN!!!!
I THANK GOD and YOU that I do not have to go to a secular job like most of you, and I can possibly go back to bed later this morning if my beloved nurse is able to work with Amanda today.......
As I made the “long” trek to the “john” SUDDENLY I heard God REMIND me of who I am and Whom I WORK FOR.
Up until a few months ago I had a “spare” car-my 2004 Honda Accord with 200,000 plus miles on it.
A little old lady relieved my of this vehicle in a minor fender bender, (HER fault THANK GOD.)
Her insurance company refused to repair this car and instead gave me a nice, fat payoff-AGAIN, THANK GOD!!!!
My remaining vehicle is a 2011 Ford F-150 which now has 301,000 miles on it.
Now, from time to time, I WORRY that this old Ford will also too soon “meet its maker!!!!”
Then the ancient question too often arises, “WHAT WILL I DO IF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!??????????”
CAN I GET AN AMEN from any of you??????????????????????///
I do not know the WHY of God SPEAKING TO LITTLE OLD ME this morning, but may I remind you what He said to me on my way to the potty.......................
GOD spoke to me quietly and solemnly:
“DON'T YOU DARE ASK ANYBODY FOR MONEY AND EMBARASS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU NEED MONEY (anything) YOU ASK ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YOU WORK FOR ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
Now, please allow me to give you the backdrop of the story........
The year was 2008 and THE GREAT RECESSION was upon all of us. The economy had suddenly crashed and all my small Church members lost EVERYTHING!!!
NO JOB-NO INCOME=NO TITHES!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Which, for me, the preacher means NO paycheck!
Time rocked on and NO paycheck for over a year..................
NO paycheck means no house mortgage payment for me, no car payment or gas money or tires!
It was during this time that a Church member and “used to be Tither's) father passed away and requested that I do his funeral-of course I readily agreed to do.
I thought that the funeral would be local but soon discovered it was to be held in a city several, SEVERAL miles away!!
I had NO money for gas, my tires were worn out on my 2000 Ford truck, the which I gladly reminded God of as I angrily drove the too many miles to do the funeral.
I was glad to be honored and asked to do the funeral, BUT I was B-R-O-K-E and angrily informed God all the way to the funeral that I was NEVER gonna do another funeral or hospital visit or anything for anybody who did not support “my” Church-MY CHURCH?????????
All the long way/long drive I reminded God of my predicament!!!!
“God, I AM BROKE!! I am fixin' to lose my house, my tires are dangerous and worn out, I ain't got no gas money, blah, blah, blah-complain, complain, complain!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”
GOD DID NOT SAY A WORD ALL THE WAY THERE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
When I finally arrived at my destination, the son of the deceased father greeted me at the door with a “glad hand.” He quietly slipped two bills in his kind handshake-the which I quietly slipped in my suit coat pocket and did my duty to God and man.
As I drove away in my worn out pickup truck with bald tires and fleeting gas meter I remembered the two bills lying in my coat pocket. I then reached in my pocket and retrieved TWO crisp $100.00 bills!
TWO $100.OO BILLS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
then God relied to ignorant me, stupid me, complaining me-the “preacher.”
Here is the rest of what God said to me:
“Boy/son, don't you EVER tell me what you gonna do or not do!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU NEED MONEY YOU TELL ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
IF YOU NEED A RAISE YOU TELL ME!!!!
DON'T YOU DARE STAND IN THAT PULPIT AND BEG FOR MONEY AND EMBARRASS ME!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!”

Again, I have NO CLUE as to why God chose 5:30 AM this morning to remind me and SPEAK to me-EXCEPT maybe YOU have a NEED today..........................????
Perhaps YOU need a car...................
Or gas money........................ or a job, or.................................. a PURPOSE??????????
As the OLD hymn says:

REACH OUT AND CLAIM IT!!!!!!!!!!!
CHILD YOU ARE STANDING ON HOLY GROUND!!!!”
YOU, NOW, ARE ALSO STANDING ON HOLY GROUND!!!
