Holy Ground!!! 8/17/22
John 16:23-24 (KJV)
23 And in that day ye shall ask me nothing. Verily, verily, I say unto you, Whatsoever ye shall ask the Father in my name, he will give it you.
24 Hitherto have ye asked nothing in my name: ask, and ye shall receive, that your joy may be full.
It is 1:30 in the AM and I am up!
In these oft early morning hours, I attempt to use this time wisely:
Ephesians 5:16 (KJV)
16 Redeeming the time, because the days are evil.
As such, I again “try” to read my Bible systematically. I usually read a Psalm or a Proverb with maybe a little Old Testament thrown in and then read the New Testament in order.
Sometimes it seems fruitless, even boring BUT perhaps hours and even days later I hear God speak to me what I just read.
God's main method of communication with you and me in through His HOLY WRITTEN WORD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Isaiah 55:11 (KJV)
11 So shall my word be that goeth forth out of my mouth: it shall not return unto me void, but it shall accomplish that which I please, and it shall prosper in the thing whereto I sent it.
Psalm 119:9-12 (KJV)
9 Wherewithal shall a young man cleanse his way? by taking heed thereto according to thy word.
10 With my whole heart have I sought thee: O let me not wander from thy commandments.
11 Thy word have I hid in mine heart, that I might not sin against thee.
12 Blessed art thou, O LORD: teach me thy statutes.
In these late night/EARLY morning Bible studies I read the Scripture captioned above-I repeat:

I probably have read this Scripture MANY times over the last 50 years and heard it preached over and over.
BUT as I pondered and worried over a particular problem the other night, God reminded me of His Word and the SIMPLICITY of it!!!!
As Bill and Gloria Gaither so aptly phrased it:
“If you have a need I know He has the answer!!!
Reach out and claim it-YOU are standing on Holy Ground!!!”
ALL I REALLY NEEDED TO DO WAS ASK THE FATHER FOR THE SOLUTION!!
James 1:5 (KJV)
5 If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him.
When I OBEYED that Still. Small Voice, INSTANTLY God answered and gave me peace!!!!
I knew what to do!!!!
Matthew 6:5-8 (KJV)
5 And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward.
6 But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking.
8 Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
