Dear *NEW* and Returning Holy Name Families,

I first want to welcome all the new families that are joining our Panther Pride! For those families returning to Holy Name School, most of the following information has already been completed or been in previous newsletters, but is available here for your reference.

Please visit the following links to prepare for the upcoming new school year. Beehively, the school's online student information system platform, will be adding new families in the coming weeks. New families will need to update all emergency contact information and other relevant student information when access becomes available. Returning families, please update your Beehively accounts with any changes.

We are in need of event chairs for our upcoming events during the new school year! We hope to get the ball rolling with ideas this summer, especially with some of our major fundraisers. If you are interested in chairing an event or activity, please sign-up using the link below as soon as possible! This is a great way to satisfy your service hour requirement with one event!

If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to email or call the school Office, which will be open from 9:00am-1:00pm daily through June 26th. Throughout July, please email since the Office will be on its Summer holiday. The school Office officially reopens for the 2026-2027 school year on Wednesday, August 12th. Thank you!

FOREIGN LANGUAGE CHOICE for NEW STUDENTS ONLY

Holy Name School is excited to continue its Foreign Language Classes for the 2026-2027 school year. In preparation for the new school year, Holy Name School is updating and finalizing the enrollment for its Foreign Language classes.

We will be asking all parents to choose either Spanish or Mandarin as their Foreign Language class for their child(ren).

Please understand that this choice of enrollment in this course is for the child's remaining time at Holy Name School (unless special circumstances should arise).

For those Parents who have multiple children, please fill out a new form for each child. Only 1 parent should complete this form! ------------------>

SUMMER ASSIGNMENTS FOR K-5 STUDENTS



There will be NO Mandatory Summer Assignments for Kinder-5th Grade students for this upcoming school year. We are leaving the decision up to parents on how much summer review, summer school, or summer prep to plan for.

We do and will encourage students to spend their summer reading age appropriate books during their summer vacation. The San Francisco Public Library has an excellent Summer Stride reading program for the summer: https://sfpl.org/summer-stride-2026

*VACANCIES*: Athletics Representative(s) - Role includes:

• coordinating with Athletics Director:
• Writing the Athletic Newsletter (include upcoming games, announce game results, highlight individuals, include due dates.
• Liaise between AD, Parent body, PG, and Principal
• SNACK BAR coordinator (team divisions/shift sign-ups)
• Role completes ALL service hours for the year; can be a co-responsibility role

MAJOR REMINDER - NEW POLICY for 26-27:

In order to be on Tuition PLAN C or PLAN P this upcoming school year...it will be MANDATORY for parents to complete their Virtus Training or Recertification and complete their LiveScan Fingerprinting.

**LiveScan Services will be available in the school gym on the First Day of School,

Wednesday, August 19th starting at 7:45am until 10:00am.

Parents MUST first start their Virtus training BEFORE getting fingerprinted!

In order to volunteer for ANY student-facing service such as chaperoning field trips, attending school events or celebrations, or other volunteer service work; you MUST have an up-to-date Virtus certification (virtusonline.org - renew every 3 years so visit the site and see when your compliance expires!) AND valid LiveScan fingerprints cleared (need to do just once AFTER Virtus accounts are created). This is mandated by the Archdiocese of San Francisco to protect all students. Parents MUST adhere to these policies.

HOLY NAME OF JESUS PARISH

Families are encouraged to join the Holy Name Parish and school community at our Mass celebrations this summer. Masses are Saturdays at 5pm and Sundays at 9:30am and 11:30am; and weekdays at 9:00am.

Our Pastor, Father Cameron, also invites anyone from the school community to join him for his Summer Bible Study Series. All are welcome!
