Good evening Holy Name Families,
As I begin to write my final Tuesday newsletter of the 19-20 academic school year, I keep recalling my very first day with students at Holy Name. I remember looking up at the beautiful archway at the main entrance of the school building and saying to myself, "You lucky guy...what an honor!" It truly has been an honor being the Principal of Holy Name School.
I get to work alongside an incredible faculty and staff who:
have persevered through the ups-and-downs of the year, prepared the young minds of their students, modeled moral and ethical practices, kept families posted with important information, continued with their professional development, assisted each other in technology and educational resources (especially during Distance Learning), supported each other and their students to share a smile, prayed with and for the Holy Name community, and kept the mission and philosophy of Holy Name at their core. They truly are a magnificent bunch!
I was also fortunate to be a member of the Parish team, led by the wonderful and talented Father Arnold Zamora. It was a privilege to be in his company and have a laugh and to always have the members of the HN community in his mind and mostly his soul. After 11 years, Father will be moving to another parish; however his heart will always be at Holy Name. Thank you Father for everything you have done for us.
Finally, I would like to thank the students and families of Holy Name School. You welcomed me with open arms. The kids always shared a wave, a smile, or a hug. The energy and love that was brought to school everyday was what was amazing. And even though the halls went quiet on March 12th...the energy never ceased, the smiles were ever present, and the waves sent through the screens had vibration. Love is what sends that energy. And one day, it will fill the halls of Holy Name again and that archway I looked at 9 months ago will be happy to welcome you all back.
God bless...have a wonderful, restful, and safe summer!
Michael Miller, Principal
"Most sacred heart of Jesus, I place my trust in thee."

A
Final
Note from Fr. Arnold, Pastor
I guess this is my last message to you but not of goodbyes. I will just say “see you around” since I will just be few minutes away. Thank you very much for the beautiful message you left in the “Thank You wall” and through the many different types of social communications, text, email including video messages. I appreciate your thoughts and kind words and treasure your friendship.
Holy Name School was always so close to my heart and will forever be. Even as we walk through separate roads, we have a golden bridge called "PRAYER" that links our lives together.
So today, like any other day, I lift to GOD all your wholeness, needs, fears, aspirations, intentions, wishes, concerns and endeavors.
May He sanctify the labor of your hands and grant you good health, peace of mind and heart, wisdom; and answer all your deepest prayers.
Aloha for now!
Thanking you forever by saying God bless you always!
-Fr. Arnold
