February 5, 2019

Dear Families,
Happy Lunar New Year! I hope this year brings many blessings to all of you!
I was so sorry to miss the Crab Feed this past weekend- I heard it was a wonderful event, and I wish I could have been there. Thank you for all of your support to the school through this event. I hope you had a wonderful time- it sounded like a very fun night!

Next Tuesday, February 12th we invite all students to bring an extra sandwich in the morning to donate to St. Vincent de Paul. Thank you in advance for your generosity in this monthly service project.
Please note our upcoming events:
  • This Thursday, February 7th at 6:30PM we will hold our mandatory 8th Grade Washington DC Trip Meeting for the students and parents of all those attending this year's trip
  • Our Father Daughter Dance is this Friday, February 8th from 7-9PM
  • 8th Grade Graduation Gown Fittings will be at 8:15AM on Tuesday, February 12th
  • Our Talent Show is on Friday, February 15th. It will begin between 8:15 and 8:30AM in the gym.
  • There is no school on Monday, February 18th for our Presidents' Day Holiday.
  • Thursday, February 28th is our Grandparents/ Special Person Day! All of our special guests will be invited to our 9AM school mass.

We are busy planning for our third (and final!) phase of our Seismic Retrofit Project. We will be choosing a contractor later this month and plans will be set to complete the retrofit of the gym and the wall connecting the gym to the school. This phase will also include the addition of an ADA bathroom in the gym.We ask that you continue to keep the school in your prayers as we continue to fundraise for this multi-million dollar project. If you know of any generous donors or organizations that you believe would be willing to assist us please let us know.

In today's envelope you should have received a letter outlining our Parent Guild Fundraising to date. Should you have any questions please let me know.

Thank you as always for your continued partnership. Have a wonderful rest of your week!

February 5, 2019

"Raindrops keep falling on our head" these days. Thank God for this blessing.
A raindrop may be tiny but somewhere a thirsty flower awaits its fall.
Likewise, a text message may seem too short but it whispers that a HEART remembers a LOVED ONE, a FRIEND, or anyone who's close to anybody.
I may never have the opportunity to do great things for you,
but I'll always find a chance to do small things in a great way...
through PRAYERS.
May your day be filled with humility, wisdom and love and may God's blessings like rain keep falling in your life!

-Fr. Arnold
