PRINCIPAL'S LETTER

D ear Holy Name Families,

Happy October! It is hard to believe how fast this school year is going by! October has me very excited for our Fright Fest! I hope you will save the date and join us on Saturday, October 27th for food, drinks, games, Bingo, costumes and fun!

Junior High Parents, please check your Schoology accounts for important information regarding today's Progress Reports. All parents should log into PowerSchool and turn in a signed screenshot of your child's grades. This helps us to ensure that all families have access to PowerSchool and can actively see their child's grades.

This Thursday is Blessing of the Animals, and it is always a very fun day for our students. Please see below for more information regarding this day. I look forward to meting your furry family members!

On October 7th we will be joining our Preschool for a Beach Clean Up Day. Please see below for more information. This is a great opportunity for our junior high students to get outside organization service hours, and they would be able to complete 2 of this quarter's 3 hour requirement. We look forward to our day of service!

Please be sure to return your Reunification Drill signed sheet by this Friday. More information will be sent home next week regarding our Reunification Drill.

Boys Basketball Tryouts will take place on Saturday, October 20th. A schedule will be sent home next week. Please click here to sign your son up for Boys Basketball.

Mother/Son Bowling Information was sent home today. Please be sure to turn in your form- it is always a fun event! Feel free to invite aunts, grandmas, and nephews too!

This Friday is a $3 Free Dress and Famous Amos Cookie Day! (Popsicles are available for students with allergies) Students can come to school in free dress and should turn the $3 into their homeroom teacher. Proceeds benefit the Seismic Retrofit Funds.

A MESSAGE FROM FATHER ARNOLD
October 2, 2018

Everyday is a new beginning! Take a deep breath and start again.
GOD guides us in everything we do.
He is our sunshine in our waking hours.
Focus our thoughts to our ever loving LORD.
He promised never to leave us to be our protector.
So he sends his angels to guard, guide and protect us.
Keep this prayer for all ages:
"Angel of God, my guardian dear,
To whom His love commits me here;
Ever this day (or night)
Be at my side.
To light and guard,
To rule and guide,
Amen.
Happy Feast of the Guardian Angels!
-Fr. Arnold
