“Rise up and build.” — Nehemiah 2:18
Dear Faithful Stewards,
Last year, we invited our faithful to stand with us in faith—understanding that faith is not something passive but lived, active, and the foundation of our lives. This year as we enter our 50th Anniversary our call is to be inspired by the powerful witness of Nehemiah, a servant of God who when he faced broken walls prayed from his depth with humility and invited his people to respond to the desolation with one powerful voice: “Let us rise up and build.”
Today we make a similar call within our parish. We ask each of you to rise up and build with us not bricks and mortar for this would limit God’s work to material items. We are first calling the faithful to rebuild their hearts, renew their faith in God, and to strengthen and enrich their spiritual lives. Rising up and building implies becoming more engaged in the life of the Church—worshiping more, serving more, giving more from the gifts God has given us. All of us have something to offer and a role to play in God’s home. Stewardship is exactly finding that point of giving.
We know that all good gifts come from our Lord. Nehemiah offers us a model to pray before we act, to plan our efforts with wisdom, and to labor for God with purpose. Therefore, we invite you to rise up and build the walls of faith in your personal lives by increasing your daily prayer, reading the Bible, and living the liturgical life with more purpose.
As we look towards 2026, we humbly ask that you prayerfully reflect on your stewardship. How will you assist our community in building up her life in Christ for her people? How will your love for God help strengthen our community for generations to come.
Our commitment, with the help of God, is to stand ready to walk with you, to support you, and to grow together in this sacred building project of faith. On behalf of our entire Parish Council and the Stewardship Committee, we pray that the coming year be filled with God’s abundant grace and blessings, and may we see you often—in worship, in fellowship, and in service.
With love in Christ - Happy and Blessed New Year 2026 !
In humble gratitude to you,
