The 3rd Sunday of Easter

"Lord, you will show us the path of life."

Good People of Holy Spirit,

A word of sincere thanks for all of you for your efforts, devotion, and support during this Lent, Holy Week, and now as we continue the Easter Season. The overall response to the Lenten Parish Mission and expanded Confession times was humbling and encouraging. The Holy Week liturgies went great and so many of you entered the celebrations with joy and dedication to our parish and Our Lord. From my wonderful staff, various volunteers, ministry groups, etc - to do Lent and Holy Week well takes the entire parish family and I am grateful for all who made this Lent and Holy Week blessed occasions.

As we continue the Easter season a few updates regarding Confession and Adoration. Beginning this week, I will be in the confessional beginning at 7:30am on Tue/Wed until Daily Mass at 8:00am, and then the usual weekend times of 3:30-4:45pm on Saturdays and 7:45-8:15am on Sundays prior to Mass.

Eucharistic Adoration on Fridays will be expanded to 8:30am-12:00pm as long as we have adorers available through that entire period. Once a month I intend on having an evening Holy Hour for a particular intention, but that further information will be upcoming.

Let us continue to celebrate the new life and new hope afforded us by the Resurrection of Jesus and know He desires to renew our lives and our parish, one day and moment at a time.

Fr. Mark

Summer is approaching, and for many children in our community—over 25% in the southwest LS area, Raymore, and Peculiar—it means the end of reliable school meals and the start of summer hunger. The Summer Lunch Program provides vital nourishment, but our need for support has never been greater. Please answer the call: soaring food costs means every dollar makes a difference, and every volunteer hour ensures a child receives a meal.

We could also use donation supplies. When you are at the grocery store, please pick up some sandwich, snack, or gallon size Ziploc or reclosable bags, boxes of individual chips, boxes of individual cookies, and/or
Kool-Aid Jammers. These can be dropped off in the parish office. Thank you for your support!
