26th Sunday in Ordinary Time
"Remember your mercies, O Lord."
Weekly message from Fr. Mike
Thank you for helping me to have a wonderful birthday. Your kindness and your presence was much appreciated. I am blessed.

Ladies Auxiliary Pie Fund Raiser
Don’t forget the Ladies Auxiliary pie sale. They make good pies for only $12 and the Ladies do wonderful things for the parish and for other charities. The last day you can order is September 30th

Collection for El Salvador
On the weekend of October 11th we will have a collection for the students we are sponsoring in El Salvador. This is an outreach that we began last year at this time. Your support helps us continue to support young people in El Salvador so they can get a good education and be a positive force in their country.

Grief Support Group
Grief Support Groups resume October 1st. Two sessions available: a morning one from 9:30 – 11:00 a.m. at Holy Spirit, and an evening one at Presentation Church, 7:00 – 8:30 PM. You are welcome to join either group. To sign up for the morning group email Deacon Rich. For the evening group email Shelli Lange.

You can find this week's Prayers of the Faithful here.

Bags for Great Beginnings
Calling all Chipotle Fans!
Great Beginnings Early Childhood Center serves the diverse needs of many of their preschool students. One of those needs is providing weekly food packs through Coldwater. Because of the young age of the children, they are not able to send the food home in plastic grocery bags due to it being a potential choking hazard and paper grocery bags are too large for the small children to handle. The bag that works the best for this purpose are the paper bags Chipotle uses for its orders. If you are a Chipotle customer and would like to recycle your used paper bag, there will be a collection box in the narthex. We would also be able to accept other paper bags that are similar in size with handles. The school currently uses 50 bags per week, and that number is expected to continue to rise throughout the year. It’s a great way to recycle the bags and help out the kids!
COVID calling tree
volunteers needed
The Outreach Planning Group is once again sponsoring a Covid-19 calling tree. We will be reaching out to all families on a monthly basis who are currently registered in the parish. To support this ministry, we are in need of approximately 35 individuals to call approximately 15 families once a month. Calls can be made all at the same time, or spread out during the month. For more information and to volunteer, please contact Deacon Rich at the parish office or by email at rich.akins@holyspiritmo.org.
Blood Drive October 4
Our next Blood Drive will be Sunday, October 4 starting at 8:30 in the Gym.

Advance signups are preferred.
