Weekly message from Fr. Mike
In his weekly message, Bishop Johnston tells us since parishes have done a good job of maintaining social distancing, wearing masks and washing hands there have been no outbreaks of COVID-19 in Catholic churches. The dispensation from the Sunday obligation is still in effect, but out of concern for our spiritual health Bishop Johnston asks us to consider returning to Mass. You can hear his message here.

  • The funeral for Andre Charbonneau will be streamed live this Saturday, September 5 at 10:00 AM on our Youtube channel.

  • The Parish Quilting Group will be mailing out tickets for their annual quilt drawing in the next couple weeks. Keep an eye on your mail and please help support their fundraiser.

Live streaming volunteers
We are looking for volunteers to assist with live streaming masses. We stream the 5:00 PM Mass on Saturday evenings. The process is not difficult, but does require Windows PC experience. Ideally each volunteer would only be required to stream once or twice every 2 months. If you'd be interested in learning about this important ministry, please email David Bremer at the office, dbremer@holyspiritmo.org.

Shoe Drive
Do you have shoes taking up space in the back of your closet? We are hosting a shoe drive to collect new and gently used shoes to create opportunities for women in developing nations to start and sustain a small business, pulling them and their families out of poverty.

Any type of shoes are accepted such as, Tennis Shoes, flats, sandals, flip flops, heels and even mismatched. 

A collection bin will be available in the narthex September 14-27.
Grief Support Group
Are you grieving the loss of a loved one? Presentation and Holy Spirit parishes will offer a five-week mutual help grief support group October 1 -29. The morning group will meet Thursdays, 9:30 to 11:00 a.m., at Holy Spirit Parish, 1800 SW State Hwy 150. The evening group will meet Thursdays, 7:00 to 8:30 p.m. at Presentation Parish Log House.

The Holy Spirit Ladies Auxiliary is hosting a virtual presentation via Zoom by Angela Estep, Director, The White House Decision Center, Harry S. Truman Library and Museum, on September 10, 2020 at 7:00 p.m.

Please join us for an exciting presentation on the renovation and reopening of the Truman Library and Museum as well as volunteer opportunities. We hope you will join us.
