Sunday

in Lent

March 9, 2025

Follow Along Lenten Devotional:

Lent can be a beautifully reflective time for us to quiet our hearts, anticipate Christ’s sacrifice for us and embrace the hope that his death and resurrection represent. It’s a time of self-examination, prayer and simple living, pondering life in this valley of tears while also envisioning the new, vibrant life Christ offers which empowers us to be repairers of the breach. We do this out of gratitude for the greatest breach that has been repaired in us, the sin from which we have been forgiven by God’s grace in Christ.

Zechariah: led by Hayes Howard

Zechariah is considered a minor prophet but has a message that is very apropos to us today. He writes to a discouraged and weary Judah that are much like weary Christians in the Church in the West today. We meet on the first floor of the education building next to Matt's office, on the left.

COLLECT

Almighty God, whose blessed Son was led by the Spirit to be tempted by Satan: Come quickly to help us who are assaulted by many temptations, and, as you know the weaknesses of each of us, let each one find you mighty to save; through Jesus Christ your Son our Lord, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, one God, now and for ever. Amen.
