Dear Community Church,

I can hardly believe how close we are to Holy Week. It is a gift to be with you during this holy and sacred time, and I look forward to walking together through the story at the heart of our faith.

In these days, we are also making a renewed effort to share the life of our church more widely. If you are not already following Community Church on Instagram or Facebook, I invite you to do so—and to share our upcoming services and events with family, friends, and neighbors. I also want to share a word of peace and love with you all. This past week, our community in Vero Beach has been shaken by the heartbreaking news of gun violence in our own town. In the midst of this sorrow, I hold each of you close in prayer as beloved members of this community.

I remain grounded in the promise that there is far more that binds us together than could ever separate us from the love of God. In this time of grief and uncertainty, may we turn toward one another with compassion and care.

Let us pray for peace, for the families whose lives have been forever changed, and for the safety and healing of our entire community.
