Church Family,
We have entered Holy Week, the most profound week of the Christian year.
In these days, we do more than remember. We walk the story.
We walk with Jesus into Jerusalem, where hope and expectation fill the air. We sit at the table where he breaks bread and offers himself in love. We stand at the cross, where suffering and mercy meet in ways we can hardly comprehend. And we wait, in the quiet of Holy Saturday, holding the tension between grief and hope.
Holy Week invites us not to rush ahead to Easter, but to be present to each moment along the way.
There is a temptation to move quickly past the harder parts of the story: to skip over betrayal, denial, and loss. But it is here, in these very places, that we begin to see the depth of Jesus’ love more clearly. A grace that does not turn away. A mercy that remains faithful, even unto the cross.
Let's move through this week intentionally. Set aside time to worship, to pray, and to reflect. Join us as you are able for Maundy Thursday and Good Friday services, allowing the story to shape your heart and draw you more deeply into the gift of Christ’s sacrifice. Then let us gather triumphantly on Easter Sunday to bask in the glory of his resurrection!
And as you walk this path, remember: you do not walk it alone. Jesus walks it with you.
I look forward to sharing these holy days together.
Blessings,
Pastor Kellen
