Next week is a busy week at Worthington Presbyterian Church! We welcome you to our special worship services during Holy Week and Easter. Please share this email with family and friends. How amazing would it be if everyone in our congregation would invite one person to worship with them this Easter?
Palm Sunday, April 2
Worship services at 8am and 10am
We begin Holy Week with Jesus' Triumphal entry into Jerusalem. Both services will feature palm branches. We invite families to arrive a little early to participate in our palm parade at the 10am service with Dr. Julia Wharff Piermont, preaching. Livestreamed at 10ame
Maundy Thursday, April 6
Communion Service at 7pm
We join Jesus and the disciples at the Last Supper, where Jesus calls us into the "New Covenant." This service features the music of the Chancel Choir, a sermon by Dr. Piermont, and communion. Livestreamed
Good Friday, April 7
Worthington Community Service on the Village Green at Noon
Worthington churches unite for an outdoor service with readings, prayer, and singing around the Village Green, accompanied by the Salvation Army brass. We begin on our Sanctuary steps and conclude at the St. John's Episcopal Church cemetery.

Tenebrae Service at 7pm
A simple service of readings and music to remember the crucifixion of Jesus. "Tenebrae" is Latin for "darkness" and refers to the tradition of increasing darkness as we hear the readings. In our service, candles will be extinguished, and we will end in the darkness of Good Friday. Livestreamed

Easter Sunday, April 9
Sunrise Service at 7am beginning in the Columbarium
This brief, reflective, informal service begins outdoors near dawn to announce the Resurrection, then moves to the Chapel for communion. Continental breakfast follows the service. Dr. Rice, preaching.

Festival Services at 8am, 9:30am, 11:15am
Three identical services feature brass and organ, anthems by the Chancel Choir, and sermon by Dr. Piermont. Come, enjoy the beauty of the lilies, and help us raise our Alleluias to our Risen Lord! Livestreamed at 9:30am
