A Holy Week Message
Rev. David Wynn
One could spend a lifetime reflecting on, studying, praying on, meditating on and otherwise exploring the events that we have come to call Holy Week. We want so much to understand what is essentially beyond our comprehension and will, in some ways, always dwell in the liminal space of mystery.

Every year, (and truly daily)…we are invited to humbly enter into that space of unknowing to see what is shimmering for us now, what is the teaching? The only requirement is to show up and be where we are.  Here’s our 411.
This year Spirit has guided Agape to offer the ritual of the Stations of the Cross (Good Friday) which will help us to engage and begin clearing out the things within us that need to be done, need to die, so there is room for transformation.

We will, as one of our favorite customs on Saturday, HUNT ALL THE EASTER EGGS! We will  also bounce and slide as was taught in Matthew 19:14 (small adaptation from Rev. D. of course), Jesus said, “Let the little children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the kin-dom of heaven belongs to those who know how to play.”

At 7:00 a.m. on Sunday we will gather, in a slightly different way than usual, for the Sunrise…we will be invited to sit in a circle in the parking lot at the beginning of the brick path that leads to our labyrinth around the vigil fire. There will be coffee, some quiet, simple ritual, the opportunity to walk the labyrinth, and maybe, the Good Lord willin’, the Christ candle will stay lit.  Afterward, as I feel certain Jesus said somewhere in the Gospels, “Let’s eat breakfast y’all!”

At 10:30 we will have our Easter Celebration where we will answer the age-old question “how big ARE Jim and Jody’s Easter bonnets going to be??  FYI BRING YOUR BONNET!

If any or all of this, calls to you, please join us. We wish you all of the brutal, beautiful, liberating, always transforming energy that comes with the Rite of Easter. Here we go…
