Holy Week at GLC
From the beginning of the pandemic we have said that for big HOLY-days, if we couldn't ALL be together, then none of us would gather in the sanctuary. Having to register people, impose limits and possibly turn people away simply doesn't fit with all the ways we work to build community. We will not have in-person attendance on Palm Sunday or Easter Sunday in the sanctuary, but will have palms on Palm Sunday and Holy Communion on Easter Sunday. See our Holy Week Schedule
Real questions from real people to learn more about faith
Is it okay to disagree with your church? As Christians, we have basic beliefs that we all share. Part of how we grow in our faith is to ask questions about those beliefs. Joining a Bible study or small group, inviting your pastor or vicar for coffee or finding a trusted companion for the journey are all great ways to explore.  Disagreement can be a really healthy part of growing in our faith.
In-person Sunday worship
We are welcoming up to 30 people for our 9:00 am Sunday worship service. Please arrive for worship by 8:55 am. There is no pre-registration, but masks, health self-certification, and physical distancing are still required.
Pastor Trudy's Message
When we were planning for my daughter's wedding, there was a lot of talk about where to seat people. You want everyone to have some people to talk with comfortably. You have to balance singles and couples, older and younger, friends of the parents and friends of the couple. It's always a little awkward, even if things go well. Now imagine a banquet where everyone is invited.  Jesus extends the invitation to be with Him in His work, and it is for all of us. Sometimes this makes things awkward and uncomfortable and challenging. But by accepting this invitation, we are filled and nourished beyond what we can imagine.
Mighty God, we know we should be honored by Your invitation, but sometimes it feels like one more thing on a really long list of to-dos. Rather than being another thing, help us to know that accepting this invitation changes the way we look at everything. In Jesus' name, Amen.

There's an app for that!
In addition to donating through the website, you can quickly and easily give to the church using the GivePlus app. You can make a credit or debit card donation as a guest user, or create an account to set up recurring donations. It's a safe and secure way to make contributions. Available for download at the App Store.

Notes from the GLC Community
Thank you so very much for the terrific potato soup! As we spooned in the warmth, we thought of all of you and how many ways you feed all of us. You are a true blessing.
Yours in Christ, Linda and Craig Hanson

Ken and I were the lucky recipients of Amy Parise’s split pea soup and an apple pie this week and are having them for dinner tonight. We’d like to thank you and whoever came up with this lovely idea! It’s nice to have a meal already prepared and even nicer to know that someone at GLC thought of us! Please pass along our gratitude to Amy, too.
