Easter Sunday at Piedmont Church

Celebrate the Resurrection

March 31, 8:30am and 10am

We'll have two services on Easter Sunday, both are identical. Senior Pastor Steve Schibsted, preaching. Special music by Stephen Main and our Chancel Choir.

LENT SCHEDULE

Maundy Thursday 'Agape Meal'

Worship takes place on March 28 at 6:15pm during a family-friendly dinner called an ‘Agape Meal,’ (pronounced Uh-GAH-Pay) from one of the Greek words for “love” – agape. It commemorates Jesus’ Last Supper with his disciples, when he called on them to “love one another” and instituted the sacrament of Communion. The meal will conclude with Communion.

Cost for dinner is $20 at the door, free for children under 18 years of age.

Good Friday Tenebrae Service

On Good Friday, March 29 at 7:30pm, worship will include the service of Tenebrae, with scripture readings recounting the last hours of Jesus’ life. As the story unfolds, candles and sanctuary lights are extinguished until all is dark.

Bob Wright Meditation Garden

Artwork by Suzie Skugstad

Judy Wright knows that her late husband would be honored and enthusiastic that a meditation garden be created in his name.

For most of her life, Judy has been avid member of the Girl Scout community. She was a Girl Scout herself and then became a mentor, leader, and advocate for Girl Scouts all around the globe.

When Sonja ten Grotenhuis approached Piedmont Church with the project of a Girl Scout Gold Award garden, the dreams of the two passionate Girl Scouts collided into something wonderful. Both women are excited to see this garden become a reality and commemorate the passionate life of Bob Wright.

In lieu of flowers or gifts, donations may be made to the Bob Wright Memorial fund.

Make checks payable to ‘PCC’ with Bob Wright in the memo. Donations are also accepted online by clicking the button below.
