PREPARING FOR WORSHIP—Holy Week

Pastor Trudy's Message

We know that the crucifixion isn't the end of the story. But alleluias and Easter lilies aren't either. The stories live on in each of us...the servanthood shown on Maundy Thursday, the loss and grief of Good Friday, and the celebration of the resurrection at Easter Vigil and on Easter Sunday. No worship service, no church can contain these stories. In us they burst out into a world that needs servants, a world that is grieving, but most of all a world that needs the hopeful message of the resurrection.

Mighty God, thank You for this Holy Week and for all the holy weeks in our lives when we see the fullness of Your love and grace revealed in Jesus' life, death and resurrection. In His name we pray, Amen.

What a treat to come home after a very long 12+ hour shift to find a goodie bag from GLC on my front stoop! I will enjoy the soup this week as well as the yummy looking cookies. How did you know Italian Wedding soup is a favorite of mine?
