Couldn’t you keep watch with me for one hour?
Following the Maundy Thursday mass next week, the Blessed Sacrament will move to the chapel in the back of the church, and Trinity parish members are invited to spend time in prayer and Adoration throughout the night. All are welcome and encouraged to sign up for a one-hour time slot. You can find the signup sheet at the side transept door of the church.

Dear Friends and Members of Trinity Episcopal Church,
Our beloved window of Christ’s Ascension is now removed for long-needed restoration. This vision in stained glass – the vibrant blue, the light! - has been a focal point for prayer since this Church was built in 1870. We gaze at this work of art in all the seasons of our lives. This Window accompanies us in sorrow and in joy.
The Ascension: Jesus rises into Glory, and he blesses us to be his Body here on earth. We have been his Body, since 1732 – and we are going strong! Jesus empowers us to claim his ministry.
We look forward to the return of this Window to our Sanctuary soon – brighter, stronger, safer. It is an essential part of our gathering, our worship, our welcome.
On behalf of the Leadership of Trinity Episcopal Church, I invite you to prayerfully consider participating in this Window Restoration with your financial support. We will draw from a recent bequest for this $80,000 restoration - but your gifts will help preserve those funds for upcoming roof repair.
We are so grateful for the many ways you already sustain our discipleship and ministries. We are growing in faith, deepening in commitment to God, and to one another.
Please join me in making a contribution towards this important Restoration. Please note “Ascension Window Restoration” on your check, or use the QR code above for Vanco. Gifts of appreciated stock can be arranged in consultation with our Treasurer.
Jesus; our light, our inspiration. We give with a sense of abundance, with hearts filled with gratitude for all we receive in community.
Peace be with you,
Rev. Andrea Castner Wyatt, Rector

Easter Flower Memorials
Remember a dear one or give thanks for your blessings; envelopes can be found in the church pews. You can also contribute by clicking the links for Easter Flowers and Easter Music. Please email Kim to add names for "In Remembrance Of" or "In Gratitude For". Once we enter Holy Week, you will find envelopes in the pews for a special Easter offering. This year, that collection will go to Amos House.

The Music of Palm Sunday: From Hosanna to Holy Week
As we gather to worship this Palm Sunday, we arrive at our final turn in our Lenten journey, that moment when the road we’ve walked together through the weeks of Lent begins its final leg to Holy Week. Our service will begin in triumph with Schubert’s Palm Sunday Antiphon, setting a tone of regal and festive energy, echoing the joy of the crowd as Jesus rides into Jerusalem. We will all join together in procession as we sing the traditional Palm Sunday hymn All Glory, Laud, and Honor, lifting our hosannas and palm branches high (and the church school kids will add boisterous instrumental underscoring!). This moment of excitement and praise also holds tension, as we know that the shouts of praise long ago soon gave way to cries of “Crucify!” This is truly the great paradox (or whiplash?) of Palm Sunday: triumph giving way to trial, and hosanna turning into heartbreak… so very quickly.
A few short minutes into our worship service, we will read the Passion- that sacred telling of betrayal, suffering, and sacrifice. And from here, the music follows suit: The choir will sing Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus (Hail, true body…. Truly suffered, sacrificed on the cross for mankind”) and then the beautiful Pié Jesu from Fauré’s Requiem, set to modern words for communion. The beauty of the music does not soften the coming sorrow, but rather provides the space for us to be right in the middle of it and pray as we wait. This Sunday is the beginning of the most solemn and sacred weeks of our faith, so let’s enter together with open hearts, voices raised, and eyes on the cross.
In Christ,
Jennifer

Easter Egg Hunt
You won't want to miss the Easter Egg Hunt following worship on Easter, 4/20! Remember to bring an Easter basket to collect eggs in. Participants are asked to assemble in the gazebo prior to the start of the hunt. This is a great opportunity for parents to capture adorable pictures of their child dressed up in their Easter finery. It is also a heart-warming scene to take in, whether you have kids participating or not. Please join us for this fun event!

Nursery Coverage for Holy Week
Our nursery caregiver will be with us on Easter Sunday during the worship service. Although the nursery will not be staffed during our other Holy Week services, parents are welcome to use it, if needed, and stay there with their child. Another option is to play with your child in the family corner in the rear of the sanctuary. There will be extra toys and activities in the family corner during this special week. Families are truly welcome at all of our services. Please contact Kim Merrill should additional accommodation be needed.

Talking To Your Kids: Holy Week and Easter
Not sure how to talk to your kids about Holy Week and Easter? You are not alone. The Season of Lent can feel heavy (especially compared to Advent) and communicating its many facets can feel daunting. I have attached four articles with family-friendly explanations as well (Palm Sunday, Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, Easter Sunday).
