2021 HOLY WEEK – Holy Apostles Greek Orthodox Church
Dear Holy Apostles Family,
Warm greetings in Christ! Having passed the mid-point of Lent, we are looking toward Holy Week and Pascha with joyous anticipation. A full schedule of Holy Week services can be found by clicking on the button below. We are grateful to be able to gather in person this year and are striving to have an equitable sign-up process for high-demand Holy Week Services. Due to pandemic attendance limits, and in order to accommodate as many of the faithful as possible, the Parish Council requests that you:

Only sign up members of your immediate household, and

Please consider signing up initially for only one or two “high-demand” services. These include Palm Sunday, Holy Wednesday, Good Friday afternoon, Good Friday evening, Holy Saturday morning, Holy Saturday night (Anastasi), and the Agape Vespers on Easter Sunday.
The signup process is as follows:
Palm Sunday, April 25, 2021: Sign-up will be held on Monday, April 12, 2021, by both calling the church office and electronic reservation (SignUp Genius). If you are unable to make a reservation, you may pick up palms and/or light a candle at the church, entering the North entrance from 11:30 AM to 12:30 PM.
Holy Wednesday, April 28, 2021: Sign-up for all three Holy Unction services will be held on Tuesday April 13, 2021, by both calling the church office and electronic reservation.
Good Friday Afternoon & Evening, April 30, 2021: Sign-up will be held on Wednesday April 14, 2021, by both calling the church office and electronic reservation. Weather permitting, the Friday Evening Kouvouklion / Epitaphios procession will be held outdoors by exiting the church’s front doors and looping the far North parking lot. After the procession, the service will be completed outside at the front entrance of the church.
Holy Saturday Morning & Anastasi Evening and Liturgy,
May 1 & 2, 2021: Sign-up will be held on Thursday, April 15, 2021, by both calling the church office and electronic reservation. Weather permitting, the Anastasi (Resurrection) service will be held outside of the church at the front entrance, beginning at approx. 11:40 PM with “Come receive the Light” to allow for maximum participation. You don't need a reservation to attend outdoors, but you do need a reservation to attend the Divine Liturgy immediately following the Anastasi. Those who have signed up for the Divine Liturgy will then check-in and enter the Church. *Masks are required both outdoors & indoors.*
Easter Sunday/Agape Service, May 2, 2021: Sign up will be held on Friday, April 16, 2021, by both calling the church office and electronic reservation.
Services that are not “high-demand” will be opened for registration on Monday, April 12, 2021 and will follow our typical sign-up process. These include Palm Sunday Evening, Holy Monday Evening, Holy Tuesday Evening, Holy Thursday morning Divine Liturgy, Holy Thursday Evening, and Good Friday morning.
Again, please be respectful to fellow members of the Holy Apostles family by signing up for only one or two high-demand services initially. If additional spaces remain after the designated sign-up day, all are welcome to sign up for additional services.
