Dear Carmel Family -
"Prayer is the link that connects us with God. It is the bridge that spans every gulf and bears us over every abyss of danger or of need...May God baptize us with holy audacity and divine confidence. He is not wanting great men and women, but He is wanting men and women who will dare to prove the greatness of their God."
Pastor Alex quoted this saying from A.B. Simpson on Sunday morning as he taught from Acts 12 where the early church prayed earnestly for the release of Peter from prison. We were encouraged and challenged to be a people of urgent, striving prayer...and to be a people full of faith in the might and power of God. Even if we haven't yet seen an answer to our prayer, don't give up! Keep praying for that loved one, friend, acquaintance or situation.
We also learned that the heart of prayer is dependence on God, knowing that we can't, but He can! May we be marked with holy audacity and divine confidence in God, our Father.
Are you looking for ways to grow your faith and dive deeper in prayer? We would love to help and encourage you!
