• A new golf cart for the Activities Director, up to $10,000.
• New seating and umbrellas for students around the school (approx 8-10 tables), up to $10,000

HSC is in a great position with some ‘one time’ money we are able to spend on things not in our usual recurring budget. This is because of very generous donations by our community members, including a recent stock donation. To maximize impact, we prioritized projects that benefit all students. After gathering input from students, staff, and administration, we selected a golf cart for ASB operations and additional lunch seating. Both will enhance the student experience at Leigh. We are so grateful for our donors who have made these possible!

Highlights from Principal Brandon Wall

• Academic Growth: Grades improved across all student groups, including English Language Learners.
• WASC Accreditation: Staff will finalize the plan next week during collaboration.
• Winter Ball: A huge success with over 50% student attendance.

• Thank you to HSC: Thank you to all the parents who provided holiday goodies for the teachers! We truly appreciate it!
• Thank you to HSC from Mrs. Tanner: the economic board games. The students used the economic policy games from the HSC grant and it went great!
• Course Planning: Teachers are guiding students in selecting next year’s classes.
• Some of the members traveled to DC for inauguration week

Highlights from CUHSD Board Trustee Aine O'Donovan

• Academic Calendars: The Academic Calendars for 2025-26 and 2026-27 and 2026-27 have been approved and published. 
• Bond/Measure P: Thank you to our community for approving the facilities Bond. View high-level bond program plan and timeline.
• SARC: The School Accountability Report Card (SARC)was approved and provides key info about Leigh.
• Immigrant Support: The District Office has compiled resources for undocumented and mixed-status students/families on the CUHSD website. A resolution was passed at the January Board Meeting to “affirm support for equal access to education for all children and families regardless of immigration status

Highlights from Associated Student Body Representative

It's that time of year where we start recruiting for next year's board and committees! Leigh HSC is powered by amazing parent volunteers who work to support the betterment of Leigh High School. We have opportunities available for all skill sets and time commitments - if you want to help, we will find a spot for you!

We will have many vacancies including executive board members and committee leads, as many of our wonderful volunteers are graduating this year. Volunteering at Leigh HSC is a great way to meet other parents while making a difference for our students and staff at Leigh.
