2026 Grad Night Volunteers Needed

Senior students will celebrate the end of their high school years at the Santa Cruz Boardwalk on Thursday, June 4. We are seeking parent volunteers (preferably 9–11th grade parents) to chaperone the bus ride. Boardwalk security will be on-site, and any concerns should be reported to their team. This is a fun event and a great opportunity for parents to be part of an experience their own student will have in the future.

In addition, we need volunteers to help check in students before they board the buses to Santa Cruz.

Stampede

Leigh High School's 10th Annual Longhorn Stampede 5K Run/Walk will take place on Saturday, May 16, 2026.

The Stampede brings our entire community together – students, staff, parents, families, neighbors, friends, and local businesses. Whether you are a walker, casual jogger, or distance runner, everyone is welcome!

This event is organized by our Leigh Booster Clubs – Home & School Club, Sports Boosters, Spirit Boosters, and PAPA. All proceeds go towards supporting programs for all of our Leigh students.

The Longhorn Stampede 5K Run/Walk relies on our amazing volunteers—we need a big crew to make it happen! We’re currently below our volunteer goal for a few key roles:

  • Course Marshals (Age 18+): This is a critical role—City of San Jose requires 32 Course Marshals for the event to take place. Volunteers help keep runners safe and ensure the course runs smoothly.
  • Tow Away Signs Placement: We’re looking for volunteers to place tow-away signs along the Stampede course a few days before the event.

No experience needed! We’ll provide all the training and instructions—you just bring your enthusiasm and community spirit.
