Dear Future CT State Student,

Beginning July 1, 2023, Connecticut’s 12 community colleges are unifying into a single institution – CT State Community College (CT State). With new streamlined processes, you will have access to a boundless landscape of offerings across the entire state of CT, while still having a “home campus” from which you will receive local services and support.

As a first step in this merger process, you must confirm or identify your home campus.

Why is confirming a home campus important?

  1. Your home campus is where your advisor will be located.
  2. Your home campus is where staff will answer questions about financial aid eligibility and awards.
  3. Your home campus will become the foundation for your CT State transcript.
  4. You may have taken classes at several community colleges over the years, and we need help confirming your main campus.

Based on your academic and enrollment records, we have identified “NORWALK” as your home campus.

What’s Next?

As a first step in this merger process, please confirm or identify your home campus using these steps:

  1. Access Banner Self Service.
  2. If you have more than one campus, select the campus you are currently attending. If you have only attended one campus, you will immediately be brought to the main menu.
  3. Click on “Student Records”
  4. Click on “Confirm Your Home Campus for CT State”
  5. You will then be brought to a pop-up form to complete (you may need to enable pop-ups on your web browser).
  6. Follow the steps on the form to confirm your home campus.

Please note: Your Program of Study must be offered at the home campus you select.

What is a “home campus”?

A home campus will be the college in which you have an academic history. It is where your advisor will be housed and other support services.

What is a “legacy campus”?

A legacy campus is a college(s) that you’ve attended prior to the merger.

How will the merge to CT State Community College effect my Transcript?

  •  All grades and the Grade Point Average (GPA) from your home campus will migrate to your CT State transcript.
  • If you have completed coursework at a Connecticut community college, other than your selected home campus, you may request official transcripts be sent to CT State Community College via Parchment or email to CTState-transcripteval@ct.edu.
  • Please submit transcripts as soon as possible!
  • Legacy transcripts will continue to be available from each legacy college including course information, grades, and GPA.

For more information regarding the merger to CT State, what it means for your transcript, and more, please see the One College Information website. If you have questions about this process or what this means to you, please contact the Enrollment Services office, Registrar’s Office, or Guided Pathways Advisor on your current campus.

Thank you,
