Home Sales Drop in August

Another month and another drop in home sales. Total sales for August were 559, down from last month by 15% and also down year over year by 22%. Median sale prices and selling prices per square foot also dropped in most towns. Fairfield, Norwalk and Stamford continue to lead in sales with the most diverse markets.

Sales above $2.0 million accounted for about 19% of the total, and sales below $1.0 million accounted for about 48%. Details below.
