I just received an email regarding Eagle County Variance to transition to the Black Diamond Phase, and they have not received a final decision of approval for the variance from the Colorado Department of Public Health. As soon as we get an official update, we will notify everyone.

On Friday, Mel McKinney, Education and Marketing Manager, and I visited 25 offices throughout the valley, delivering the Home for Hounds water stations. It was great to visit with members. We still have 25 more stations available, so people let us know as soon as possible if you will display one. There were some concerns over signage in Vail Village and Beaver Creek, and some of the participating offices put the sign in the window, which worked out great!

The Home for Hounds project officially kicks off tomorrow, so we invite members to help support this event by sharing images created for you on social media, adding an email signature line, or visiting the Home for Hounds site and voting on your favorite doghouse.  Click here   to view all shareable resources. We need your help to sell these dog houses.
We are looking for people who are interested in being on the Board of Directors. Please fill out the  candidate form   a nd submit it back to me by July 31 if you are interested.

COUNTY PUBLIC HEALTH ORDER

Eagle County is still in the "Blue" Phase in the county’s  Public Health Order  regarding COVID-19.

The county hopes to move to a new phase ("Black Diamond") but this is dependent on state approval of a variance request. The county submitted the request to the Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment (CDPHE) on June 10 but has not yet received a response.
