Message from the President
Among the responsibilities all of us share is to help those born into a relatively peaceful world understand that the individual freedoms we enjoy were hard-fought successes and are sustained every day with immeasurable sacrifice. I have three college-age children that fit this definition and were born into a civilian household. By contrast, my father was a military police officer and was stationed in Japan at the end of World War II. He would recount stories from his time there and those experiences undoubtedly made him the person he was, and made an impression on my two older sisters and me.
