A Family Moves Home!

Nahtrelle and her children, who were guests of Family Promise's Abigail House, moved into their new home just in time for the holidays! Smiles abound when they explored their own space for the first time! Through resiliency, patience and endurance, Nahtrelle and her boys gained a life of stability and security with many positive paths ahead for them!

Thank you for making it possible for this beautiful family to have a new beginning to their lives! Because of your support, they have the chance to create new memories and traditions in their own home and in a life of independence!
New Bikes from BASF!

Thank you to William Simons, Global Logistics Lead NA Nutrition & Health (EN), and the rest of the gang at BASF of Florham Park for your continued partnership and for building and donating many Trek bikes to our shelter and community support guests!

So much joy was brought to children and families who could not afford such an amazing gift! Thank you for making their holidays and new year extra special!
Support from
Rotary Club of Lake Hopatcong!

Thank you to the Rotary Club of Lake Hopatcong for your donation in support of our efforts toward ending the crisis of homelessness in Morris County!

We are immensely grateful for your partnership and are excited for your help in getting many more individuals and families back on their feet!
Joann Bjornson, FPMC Executive Director, with Bob Button, Foundation Chair, Rotary Club of Lake Hopatcong
Thank You for Your Thoughtfulness!

Thank you to all our donors who shopped and provided gifts to the families in our Holiday Program! Your generosity brightened the holidays for many and afforded our guests the joy of opening a gift and watching their children enjoy gifts at a special time of year!
A Winter Wonderland Donation!

Thank you, Agnes Beede of Grace Church Bethlehem Campus , for creating an animated winter wonderland scene during the holidays for friends and neighbors to enjoy while donating funds to support individuals and families struggling with homelessness!

Your dedication and the generosity of all who donated will help provide a brighter future for our guests in crisis!
A New Graduate!

Congratulations, Taneisha, on graduating Family Promise's Financial Literacy Program! Learning how to budget, save, prioritize, and set up long-term goals all contribute to successful independence and financial security!

A special thank you to Mark Hoffman of Adath Shalom of Morris Plains for his dedication, time and guidance in educating our guests in the field of finances!
Let's help educate!

You can help continue the education of a few high school seniors in our program who are getting ready to enter college by providing a new or fairly new laptop (with a current operating system). This vital necessity for school is an exorbitant expense for a family in crisis.

By donating a laptop or funds toward one, you will take the burden off of a family in need and help a young adult begin college in the fall.
Driving Safely!

Would you like to help a new driver learn to drive safely?

With a donation of driving lessons, you can help a teen learn from an expert and fulfill the required six hours of lessons to get a driver's license. Gaining the ability to drive a vehicle adds tremendous help to families by lessoning the load that usually falls on one family member.
To make a difference and provide support for a laptop or for driving lessons, please contact Nora Godown at Family Promise, 973-998-0820, ext. 110.
Meet the People of Family Promise of Morris County
Name: Becky Pruitt

Hometown: Born in Raleigh, NC and raised in Dover, NJ

Role with Family Promise: Host site c oordinator for First Baptist Church of Ledgewood, landlord, business partner, and personal supporter. Through Family Promise, I am also a landlord rep for Neighbors in Need, a Drew University study whose mission is to eliminate homelessness in NJ within 10 years. Wonderful, insightful and fulfilling work.
How did you get involved with FP? While attending a community Bible study at Hillside Church, Succasunna, their FP coordinator spoke to me about getting involved with FP, and it was the beginning of a very satisfying relationship. Our church embraced the opportunity to share the gifts that the Lord has given us.

What do you like most about working with FP? The opportunity to find additional ways of reaching out to our guests, past and present, and offer them friendship and support. I have become very good friends with several past guests and this includes 2 families which we offered shelter to at LBC and are now tenants in my rental homes. I receive texts from several families with notes of milestones, and asking for prayer. It benefits me as much as them. I consider this relationship a win, win.

Favorite vacation spot? Being self-employed, I don’t get much time away. I spend my “down-time” at home doing crafts, reading and enjoying the beautiful lake our home is located on.

How would your friends describe you? W hat I hear most is "busy lady". My daughter says, generous, kind, friendly, giving, outgoing.
