Home for the Holidays? The Prairie Activity & Recreation Center is now offering a 30-day membership for only $30. Membership includes use of Prairie Fit Fitness Center, indoor track and gymnasium. Memberships are available to purchase now through January 7, 2024 and are valid for 30 days from the date of purchase. Memberships must be purchased in person at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center, 24550 W. Renwick Road in Plainfield.

Noon Year's Eve

Ring in the New Year with music, games, crafts, inflatables, snacks and a giant balloon drop at the Annual Noon Year’s Eve! Event is for ages 3-12 and runs 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., December 31 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. Cost is $15/$18 for residents/non-residents. Registration is required.

Last Chance for Indoor Flag Football

Enjoy all the positive aspects of football without the physical risks in this NEW indoor flag football league for ages 7-9 and 9-11. Participants develop skill position fundamentals along with sportsmanship, strategy, teamwork, self-control and self-discipline while competing and having fun! League plays 6v6 with a maximum of 12 players per team. Registration deadline is December 15 or until full. League takes place on turf at the Go Pro Dome, located nearby in Minooka.

Toddler Open Gyms

Children ages 1 to 4 may enjoy use of the gym from 9:30 to 11:30 a.m., December 21, 28 and January 4 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. The gym will be full of balls, mats, small basketball hoops, soccer goals and more. Parental supervision is required. Cost is $5/$10 for residents/non-residents. Parents are admitted free.

Grandparent/Grandchild BINGO

Build a bond with your grandchild while enjoying a night of food and fun at the first-ever Grandparent/Grandchild Bingo! This NEW event runs 5 to 6:30 p.m., January 18 at the Prairie Activity & Recreation Center. The night includes snacks and beverages, and prizes are awarded after each game. Easy-to-identify pictures are used so even the youngest of players can follow along. Please register each participant. For ages 5 and up.
