From the Pastor:
Grace and peace! I'm so excited to greet you in this edition of HomeWork. Well, we are over halfway through this year, and my prayer is that your testimony is that the Lord is not slack concerning His promises. God has continued to amaze with His hand of provision and protection. I have been tremendously blessed watching God work in the lives of so many of you. More importantly, I have been both inspired and encouraged by your steadfastness to this ministry in spite of the many difficulties that you have had to endure. My prayer is that the Lord will reward you appropriately for all that you have done. Continue to lift up one another in prayer, for we all stand in the need.
As a reminder, every 5th Sunday in our church is considered Vision Sunday, and on this day, we ask everyone to give the best offering they can give towards the vision of our church. I want to thank you for giving to the vision of our Scholarship Fund. In just six months over $5,000 was raised to the glory of God, and we were able to present our three graduates with $1,500 towards furthering their education.
Now we shift focus to the continued beautification of our facility. The exterior of our building is in dire need of power washing and painting. God has blessed us with this building, and we must be good stewards, so I am asking that on August 29th, you would give to Vision Sunday.
Lastly, as we approach our Women’s Day on August 15th, I am asking that you would join us in fasting every Monday from 6am to 6pm, that God would move in a supernatural way in the lives of our women, and consequently our church.
I look forward to continuing this journey with you as we endeavor to build the Kingdom in His Will, For His Purpose, and To His Glory!

Member Spotlight:
Sis. Carolyn Sims
Sis. Carolyn Sims, the leader of our healthcare ministry, and the treasurer of S.A.S.S.Y. Women's Ministry, is on fire for the Lord!
She believes that it is vital to have a relationship with God, and to put Him first in everything that you do.
She is a living testimony that God is truly a keeper! As she lives with the recent loss of her husband, Leroy Sims, her mind is being kept by God. She smiled as she stated, "I can release Leroy and be at peace because of my relationship with the Lord. No matter what came before, during, or after, I know that God is Faithful!"
She is thankful to God for her amazing family - her daughter, son-in-law, and two beautiful granddaughters. She is forever grateful for her church family, and in particular, Pastor Mack and her SASSY sisters.
We thank God for her as well!

Ministry Highlight:
The Men’s Ministry at The Home is not a visible ministry, but it certainly is a vital one. The men of this church not only assist in worship and participate in the various ministries, but they are also instrumental in the upkeep and maintenance of our facility. The Men’s Ministry is led by Ron Williams, and consists of Rev. Johnny Henderson, Author Thompson, Greg McCloud, Richard Mack, Derrick Brewer, L. C. Mangum, Clayton Ervin, and Rev. Reginald Paige.

Christian Education Corner
Greetings and blessings to the wonderful Sweet Home family, in-person and virtual!
Our God has allowed us to see 7 months in 2021, the year of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Now that we have in-person worship, we are blessed to have more children in fellowship and Church-At-Study (Sunday School). The Lord has increased the number of students, and we are excited about what they are learning this summer! The young people's focus for July was, 'How Jesus Cares, and Wants Our Families to Be'.
We encourage our adult members to connect with other parents. that we may increase our youth classes even more! We have set a goal of 25 students. Thank you in advance for your efforts in helping families grow in their knowledge and faith in Jesus Christ!
We are thankful to God for the Christian Education ministry, lead by Pastor Mack, Sis. Gail Mangum, and myself.
