Greetings. I pray that the Lord's favor is flowing abundantly in your lives! I am excited about what God is doing in our church! Our Men's Ministry will be meeting every 2nd and 4th Sunday at 10am for "Keeping It Real", a Men's Bible Study.

Be on the lookout for the Connection Crew, a new ministry designed to assist our members in engaging in our Digital Ministry opportunities. They will be assisting with ZOOM, Facebook, Givelify, CashApp, YouTube, and Roku. We thank God for these willing workers!

Additionally, we have a new feature starting in this month's edition, The Millennial Moment, written by our own, Sis. Alicia Allen. This feature will shed light and give insight on an often overlooked and underserved population in many churches, the Millennials.

Sweet Home Community News - February 2023

The Member Spotlight for the month of February is none other than our Sis. Delmar Kendall! She is affectionately known as Sis. Shae, and is a very dedicated member of our Sweet Home family! Sis. Shae is one of our S.A.S.S.Y. sisters, our Church Clerk, a part of our Media Ministry's team, an usher, a Finance Committee member, and she is one of our church Trustees. Yes, this woman of God is busy for the Lord! A ministry that Sis. Shae is most connected to is the one she has with her mother, Sis. Vera Reed. Their relationship is a loving bond that is truly a Godly example of respect, commitment, and honor.

Sis. Shae's favorite scripture is the 23rd Psalm because, "When you have faith in the Lord, obey His Word, and follow His Will, He is always there, no matter what you are going through."

When asked about her life, she began to glow. "I'm married to a wonderful man named Keith Kendall. We have been united for 35 years!" Sis. Shae also shared that she attended West Side High School and enjoys lots of different craft hobbies.

When storms of life come, Sis. Shae has the Lord with her! She also surrounds herself with a group of older women with whom she is able to talk to and receive Godly wisdom and wise counsel from to help guide her on her Christian journey.

When I asked her what wise words she wanted to leave with the readers, she responded humbly, "Keep the faith in the Lord. He's always with you and will lead you as He sees fit for you." Thank you, Sis. Shae, for passing down your Godly wisdom to us!

The Deacon's and Trustees Ministries are vital to the life of Sweet Home. I am grateful to announce that this month will begin the trial of two Deacons-in-Training, Bro. John Jamerson and Bro. John Moore, who upon completion of their training will join Deacon Greg McCloud as Deacons here at The Home. We look forward to their continued service to our congregation.
