From the Pastor:
Greetings! Exciting things are happening at the Home as God continue to show us supernatural favor! This past month, our own Rev. Beauty Ervin delivered her first address as Dean of the Indiana Brotherhood Missionary Baptist District Association's Congress of Christian Education and oversaw a great Congress School. In the 68-year history of our District, she is the first woman to hold the position.
This God is already doing exceedingly, abundantly more than we can ask or think, as our own Min. Stephanie Harden will be the first woman in the history of our District to preach in a District service. Additionally, we are looking forward to a joyous time in the Lord at our Silent Auction and Brunch on the 19th.
I want to invite you to join us on Tuesday nights for Church-At-Study at 6:30pm, as we continue in our Strategic Discipleship Series. If you view us on Facebook, consider accepting the invitation to become a part of our Digital Campus, which will be launched this summer. I'm excited about what God is going to do, and we thank Rev. Reginald Paige and Bro. Joshua Henderson for their leadership in this new ministry endeavor.

Member Spotlight:
Sis. Rena Brown
This month our member spotlight shines one of the pillars of our Sweet Home family - Sis. Rena Brown!
Sis. Rena has been a member of the Sweet Home family since 1966 and an active member of our Hospitality ministry. She was a Walgreens employee for 45 years and retired in 2011. Sis. Rena is a loving mother and grandmother, an avid bowler, and an excellent cook! On top of that, she will be turning 85 years young this month! What a milestone! This dedicated matriarch loves and shows support for her Sweet Home family. She believes that her faith in Jesus Christ has been her strength through good and bad times. We honor you, Sis. Rena Brown, and thank God for your continued presence at The Home!

Ministry Highlight - Hospitality Ministry
The Hospitality Ministry has been a stalwart here at The Home. Always dependable, always present, always ready to assist, and they create and maintain a warm, welcoming atmosphere to all who enter our doors.
This Ministry is led by Sis. Vera Reed, who works with Crystal Henderson, Rena Brown, L.C. Mangum, Rylee Caruthers, and Derrick Brewer. We salute them for their stellar service to both to the cause and the Body of Christ.

Christian Education Corner
The Christian Education staff sends greetings to our in-person and virtual church family! First, I want to thank God for bringing us to this blessed season in Him. We have just celebrated Black History Month, and our young people presented some great reports on African American history-makers that were male and female. They did a wonderful job! We are so thankful for them! Moving forward, we will be preparing for Resurrection Sunday with a play, and special guests visiting our Youth Church-At-Study class on Sundays at 9:30am.

The Christian Education department will begin highlighting the Church-At-Study youth and celebrating their accomplishments. For the month of March, we recognize our church drummer Rashawn Johnson! He is a 6th grader that plays the drums and bells in his school band. He also plays basketball (Highland Christian Academy), football (Crown Point Jr. Bulldogs), and practices Karate, where he earned a purple belt! He just recently earned 1st place at the ISSMA competition playing the snare drum. God bless you and congratulations, Rashawn, keep up the good work!
