From the Pastor:

Sweet Home Family, God is SOOOO FAITHFUL! He gives us strength, guidance, protection, power, and provision to do the things that He has assigned us to do (as well as some of what we choose to do that is yet in His will.) Last month we were blessed to witness the elevation of Rev. Beauty M. Ervin, as Dean, Sis. Shanta Mack, as Treasurer, and our Pastor as the Vice President-At-Large of the GMBSCI Inc. Additionally, we thank and praise God for a successful FIRST EVER Community Health Fair! We want to thank all of our vendors and more importantly, the members of our Outreach/Evangelism and Christian Education Ministries for their dutiful, dedicated and diligent work, which was done in a spirit of excellence.

October is another month that we will be actively engaging our community for the cause of Christ. My prayer is that you would join us in partnering with the Holy Spirit as HE continues to lead us in doing God’s work in this world.

We are called to build each other up.

It is our job to make sure we serve honestly and effectively ourselves.

It is not our job to place people in Heaven or hell.

It is our job to spread God’s word on how we can get to Heaven and avoid eternal suffering in hell.

It is not our job to set new commandments.

It is our job to strive to follow God’s existing ones.

Before we speak, act, judge, or command, we should all check our resume to make sure we are doing the job we were given by God.
