Grace and peace! I'm so excited about what's going on at The Home! In the month of August we were blessed to release our Women's Devotional, Heavenly Manna. This publication is a collaboration of several women connected to our church, as well as Transitions Media.

This release also coincided with celebrating our Annual Women's Day. We were blessed to have Elder Demetrice Smith of the Potter's House - Dallas. As usual, we were tremendously blessed by her ministry.

We are also excited about what God is doing is the lives of our family. Our own Min. Beauty Ervin has been selected to serve as the Dean of Congress Education for the I.B.M.B.D.A., the first woman to ever serve in this capacity! Additionally, Min. Stephanie Harden has been selected to serve as the Corresponding Secretary of the Women's Auxiliary of the GMBSC of Indiana, Inc. We pray God's blessings upon each of them as they serve to His glory.

The month of September promises to be just as rewarding as we spiritually endeavor to grow closer to Christ. We will be celebrating our Healthcare Ministry on the 2nd Sunday of this month. I pray that this ministry continues to be a blessing to you. Enjoy this edition of Homework!

Be Blessed on Purpose!

Bro. Auther Thompson, is grateful for his wonderful life, family - his daughter, granddaughter, and fiancé… and being able to worship God together. Auther loves being at Sweet Home because of the communication, working in the kitchen, and the wonderful congregation. Everyone has been nice since he started attending the church.

Although Auther is happily retired, the pandemic has put a bit of a damper on his travel plans. The bright side is, he and his family were able to get to know one another better, and spend more time together because of the pandemic. He holds true to this fact - that anything is possible, God is still in control, and that makes the difference!

We are excited to celebrate Karen Strickland! She is a faithful virtual member of the Sweet Home family.

She and her family enjoy times of fellowship at different outdoor events, such as the Railcats Baseball games. Karen has been on her job for 33 years; where she makes surgical tools for hospitals. She loves Sweet Home, and is always blessed by the preaching of Pastor Mack! She is proud that her nephew, Reverend Johnny Henderson, is an active minister at The Home, and loves his preaching as well! We are happy to celebrate Karen, and pray that the Lord continues to bless her through our technological ministry efforts!

We are pleased to announce that God has blessed us to begin developing our Discipleship Ministry. This ministry will be focusing on the individual spiritual growth and development of our family through worship, fellowship, and stewardship. We are grateful to God for the addition of Rev. Reginald Paige to Ministerial Staff, who will be serving as the Minister of Discipleship. Be on the lookout for upcoming information as it relates to this new and exciting ministry.
