Flood-Impacted Families May Qualify for Up to $300,000 — Free Workshop in San Diego

Program offers forgivable loans to help California renters affected by recent flood events buy a home in safer areas.

Golden State Finance Authority (GSFA) invites renters and previous homeowners that were living in San Diego County in 2024 to attend a free Homebuyer Workshop for the ReCoverCA Homebuyer Assistance Program.

The Program provides up to $300,000 in forgivable homebuyer assistance to low- to moderate-income households that were living in recent food impacted areas such as San Diego County. The program is designed to help qualifying individuals and families purchase a home in California outside of special flood hazard and high fire zone areas and secure a mortgage loan they can afford.

• How much assistance is available and who qualifies
• Eligibility requirements
• Qualifying property types
• Steps to get started

This community workshop will provide details on program eligibility, application steps, and available resources, and are open to residents impacted by floods,

recovery agencies, real estate professionals, service providers, and media

members.
