Homecoming 2026 is just around the corner. This year we will meet in the beautiful newly-renovated Buckner Chapel. In preparing to honor the graduating classes of the "6s", I've been perusing the yearbooks. Those pages are filled with many, many people I know and admire. Jags are talented and authentic people. They live life well and serve others with integrity and faith.
Homecoming is one of my favorite gatherings of the year. The friendships and experiences our school afforded us are to be treasured. I hope you had a similar experience at our school and will join us for the "Gathering of the Jags" to be reconnected and renewed. Reach out to your jag family and encourage them to join you there.
Friday night's events include our reception and fellowship time followed immediately by a Talent Show sponsored by your Alumni Association. This show promises once again to be a great event highlighted by a talent contest among current students. The talent event will be rounded out by performances by alumni and alumni ensembles. Hot chocolate and S'mores around firepits will conclude the evening.
Highlights of this year's "Coming Home"portion include college president, Dr. David Erickson, reporting on this year's historic enrollment and the continued growth in programs and offerings. The Jacksonville College Singers under the direction of new director, Holly Blaylock, will present a music program on Saturday morning. Coming Home Royalty will be recognized followed by a "Gaither styled" Homecoming singalong.
The strength of this year's gathering will be fellowship, ministry, and music. The only way to make it better.... is for you to join us. See you there!
