Barrington High School Alumni Association
An update from the BHSAA: December 9, 2021
Holiday greetings from the Barrington High School Alumni Association! We had a busy fall as alumni converged on the Village of Barrington for the 2021 Homecoming Parade on Saturday, Oct. 2. The theme was "Around the World".

This year was double the fun, as the Class of 1970 AND the Class of 1971 celebrated their big 50th reunions to make up for the 2020 Homecoming Parade, which was canceled due to the pandemic. The Grand Marshalls included our Founding President, Don Thompson ('61) and Jim Potter ('65). Class of 1972, you're up next!

The BHSAA also sponsored the annual BHSAA Alumni and Friends Tailgate Party in the Chessie’s parking lot. The turn out was terrific! Alumni enjoyed good food, drinks and live music. The traditional Sunday brunch at Chessie's was a fitting end to the weekend. Save the date for Homecoming 2022 on October 1, 2022!

Alumni musicians perform at Alumni Legends
The weekend kicked off with the annual Alumni Legends event "Sweet Home Barrington" on Thursday, Sept. 30. The event was moderated by Paul Cusimano ('88) and organized by Jay Istvan ('77). It featured live musical performances from BHS alumni David Mazzie ('80), Anne Trenning ('83), Inderjeet Sidhu ('86), and Eric Slingo ('13). Click here to view some of the performances.

Wren attended Ball State University after graduating from BHS. Prior to joining the Jagged Little Pill cast, Wren could be seen in New York City Center's Bring Me To Light concert.
Alumnus shares rare 9/11 images and artifacts
In honor of the 20th anniversary of 9/11, rare artifacts and images taken by BHS alumnus and official FDNY
Ground Zero photographer Gary Suson were on display this past fall at BHS. The exhibit featured 100 images and artifacts along with BOSE audio stories narrating the history behind each display. It is a recreation of Suson's 9/11 Museum Workshop in New York, a two-time winner of Trip Advisor’s prestigious “Top 25 Museums in the USA” Award.
Ways to support Barrington 220
Horticulture initiative underway at BHS
The Barrington 220 Educational Foundation is thrilled to announce its next major project, "The Greenhouse: From Seed to Root." This initiative will expand the current horticultural sciences curriculum at BHS and renovate the greenhouse, which probably looks the same as when you attended BHS! The project will modernize the existing facility with equipment and technologies to support students as they learn the principles of horticulture and sustainable food production, allowing for local partnerships with community organizations.
