Many Delawareans are limiting their travel this summer for obvious reasons. If you do venture out, our beaches remain a very good option, as are parks and other tourist destinations in New Castle and Kent Counties.
Your safety, and that of your family and friends, is of paramount importance. If you are out, the CDC and public health officials believe you are safest when wearing a mask, keeping some distance between you and others, and enjoying the outdoors.
An option to consider is the
Delaware State Fair, which is running until August 1. I have been several times and have enjoyed looking at the different animals, agricultural displays, and more. Much of this is outdoors or in very large buildings with plenty of ventilation and space to be away from crowds. If you have never been or have not attended in years, this is another seasonal option.
There are no concerts this year at the Fair, and some options are limited or not available. But the livestock, tractors, food, and fun are not far away and an easy drive.
