Homelessness News: Collaboration
Public Health and Homeless Response Systems Join Forces to Combat COVID-19
Over the course of the pandemic, homeless service providers and public health systems have had to join forces to develop a coordinated response to the effects of COVID-19 on individuals experiencing homelessness.

After successfully screening nearly 700 individuals experiencing homelessness for COVID-19, Changing Homelessness and The Mayor's Task Force COVID-19 Shelter Sub-committee received the 2020 Local Focus. Lasting Impact. Award™ .

Check out some of the recent discussions leaders from our community have had with national partner, Community Solutions , on this coordinated response:

"We were really excited about the opportunity... how can we partner better..."

Allison Martin

Director of Case Management
"Imagine yourself being someone that can't socially isolate, that has no home..."

Cindy Funkhouser
"...we as a community have kept asking what’s next and how we can do it better."
