Changing Homelessness CEO, Dawn Gilman, joins the National Alliance to End Homelessness and other communities throughout the country to share their successes in reducing homelessness by using Housing First Approaches.
Get Out and Vote!
Early voting has officially begun! We're encouraging our clients experiencing homelessness, staff, member agencies, and stakeholders to get out and vote!

Racial Inequity by the Numbers
We recently joined the National Coalition for Homeless Veterans for a presentation on racial inequity in homelessness and housing, and included an inside look on our community's data in recent years.

Check out what's new with HMIS!

  • A recent update to HUD included information on funding received to increase and improve data collection for our community. With the implementation of the HMIS Capacity Building funding - and our innovative HMIS team, we now can report the following: 
  • Trinity Rescue Mission shows a 1,843% increase in enrollments (21 HH in 2018/2019 and 408 HHs in 2019/2020) 
  • City Rescue Mission (CRM) shows a 38% increase (221 HHs in 2018/2019 and 304 HHs in 2019/2020)

Are you or someone you know experiencing food insecurity during COVID-19?

Catholic Charities and some partners have launched a pop-up, drive-thru food pantry at the Jessie Ball duPont Center at 40 East Adams Street. This drive-thru food pantry is contactless and open to all!

Visit the food pantry through October 29th.
Medicare Help (SHINE & SMP)
SHINE (Serving Health Insurance Needs of Elders) is a program of the Department of Elder Affairs and is operated in this area through ElderSource. SHINE offers seniors, adults with disabilities and their caregiver’s free, unbiased counseling on Medicare and health insurance issues.

Open Enrollment is now through December 7th!
Have you heard of Project Safe Horizon?

It's a new program that works with clients that are at risk for or already experiencing homelessness due to substance abuse and/or mental illness.

Currently, they are accepting clients into the program.
