This year's August Surge Count will focus its' efforts on Veterans experiencing homelessness. Northeast Florida is working to reach Functional Zero for Veteran Homelessness by the end of this year. The count will give us a better understanding of the number of Veterans who are un-sheltered. Join us on August 27th!
Northeast Florida stakeholders traveled to Washington D.C. to attend the annual National Alliance to End Homelessness Conference last month. Attendees met with elected officials following the conference to discuss the state of homelessness in our community.
Built for Zero Update

The Built for Zero collaborative is excited to release the Built for Zero Northeast Florida web page . The page will keep our community updated on progress made, explain the project and its goals, and give information on the partners involved. Do you HMIS?
The number of un-sheltered Veterans counted increased by 45% in last year's count. The data collected this month is important to reaching our goal of Functional Zero for Veteran homelessness by the end of 2019. Read the full 2018 August Surge Report to find out more.

The general membership meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall at 225 East Duval Street, 8:30 to 10:00 am. Our next meeting is September 12th.
