Jacksonville is among the top 5 cities in the United States whose rents are rising the fastest. Residents of Jacksonville continue to feel the impacts of these rising prices.
Built for Zero Atlanta Learning Session

Government officials, service providers, and community stakeholders convened in Atlanta the end of March for the Built for Zero Learning Session. Jacksonville is a Built for Zero community, meaning that community members are committed to reaching functional zero particularly for Veteran homelessness.

A learning session will be held next Friday, April 26th at the Legends Center. If you work to help get Veterans housed please join us! See details below.
Youth Homelessness Demonstration Program Update

A draft of the Youth/Young Adult Action Plan was shared with providers at the General Membership Meeting last week. A poster was signed by those in attendance stating "We are committed to the plan to end youth/young adult homelessness.". The Youth/Young Adult Action Board continues to work on an awareness campaign that will be kicked off in the next couple of months. Stay tuned.
Do you HMIS?
As we prepare to release the results from this year's Point in Time Count, take a look at last year's results in the graph above. A total of 1,794 people were counted, 450 of those individuals were street homeless.

The general membership meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall at 225 East Duval Street, 8:30 to 10:00 am. Our next meeting is March 14th.
