August Surge: Veterans Count

Thank you to everyone who braved the weather to come out to the August Surge: Veterans Count.

Due to the weather, we were only able to capture data at the beaches. We're incredibly grateful that Congressman Rutherford and Chris Miller, District Director braved the storm and joined us. Shout out to our very own, John Markee leading the effort at the beach and Mission House for hosting us.

We regret that we are not rescheduling the count. But don't worry, join us on November 13th for a Built for Zero update during the Week of Valor. See details below.
Built for Zero Update

The Built for Zero project continues to move towards it's goal of Function Zero for Veteran homelessness. During Hurricane Dorian, the Home Depot Foundation and Community Solutions provided flexible funding to pay for hotel stays for vulnerable Veterans. The team has extended the funding as we work to move these Veterans into stable housing.

Keep up with progress on Built for Zero Northeast Florida .
