New study shows homeless rate down in Jacksonville

A new study released by the mayor's office shows there are fewer homeless people on Jacksonville's streets than a year ago.

Sulzbacher Center selected as 2019 Sapphire Award Winner

The 2019 Florida Blue Sapphire Awards were held in Kissimmee last week. Florida Blue recognizes individuals, organizations, and programs that lead the state in delivering community health services.

Sulzbacher, a difference maker in NE FL, received one of four award recipients. Learn more about the incredible work the organization is doing in our community in the video above.
Jacksonville Built for Zero Initiative

Nearly 100 community stakeholders and service providers came together the end of last month to collaborate and reinvigorate the goal to hit functional zero for Veteran homelessness this year. Shawn Liu of the Department of Veteran Affairs and K.O. Campbell of Community Solutions facilitated the session. Read 7 lessons learned by an attendee here .

The general membership meets monthly on the 2nd Thursday at the First United Methodist Church, Fellowship Hall at 225 East Duval Street, 8:30 to 10:00 am. Our next meeting is March 14th.
